Sk8 the Infinity is a sports anime about skateboarding. It's one of the anime that I think is actually funny even after translation. It is actually fairly sincere about working on developing the relationships between its lead characters, which I enjoyed. All of its monsters of the week are absurd, and the plot is deliberately weird. Ĭute High Earth Defense Club Love! Is a parody magical boys anime. I'm really not sure how to describe it better, so I'll give you a link to its Designated Fanservice Time. It's I guess technically a magical boys anime? Basically the three boys get turned into kappa and have to go retrieve mcguffin's from monsters of the week in order to get a chance for their wishes to come true. I thought the dynamics between the three leads were interesting, especially the contrast with the older, absolute dumpster fire of a gay couple. Personally, I would highly reccomend Sarazanmai. I liked both watching the figure skating and watching the relationship form. It's an anime about figure skating, and our protagonist has a romance with his coach. I feel like the most general recommendation for 'gay anime' at the moment is like Yuri on Ice. I've apparently arranged this list in order of increasing amounts of fanservice.
